This is a lovely classic hammer gun that I restored about twenty years ago.
The maker is currently unknown, but comparison with a gun that recently came through the workshop suggests that it may be by
W Richardson.
Originally this gun was designated for scrap, but because I have a passion for these old guns I just couldn't bring myself to scrap it.
It was in a terrible state though. The ribs were off, the barrels were seized to the action, in fact everything was seized even the side lever. It was covered in mould and rust, but after much work it is now a lovely usable classic.

It has had some use since restoration, so it doesn't look quite as pristine as it did when I finished it, but I still think it looks pretty good. I'll service it again when the August rush is over.
